Use this thread for logistical details related to the 2016 Quadrennial Physics Congress (PhysCon), such as meet-ups, meal coordination, airport transportation, local transportation, etc.

When we arrive at SFO, what's the ideal transportation to the host hotel?

Also, what's the logistics for the tour? Do we really have to go to the tour that we've chosen online?

When we arrive at SFO, what's the ideal transportation to the host hotel? The host hotel, the Hyatt Regency San Francisco-Airpoirt, offers complimentary shuttle service from the Airport to the hotel 24 hours per day. The Hyatt name and logo will be on the side of the bus. Thank you!
So, is there a way to modify our registrations online? And, when we tried to sign up for the tours, the SLAC and NASA tours were full at the time. So we had no choice but to sign up for the either 2 of the remaining tours. Is it possible that spaces for either the SLAC or the replacement tour for NASA will become available later?
Thank you for your time!

Hello, So is it not possible at all to switch or find open spots left (or not taken) in other tours? I had a similar situation with the Google X tours being full. I'm just wondering if there's a chance, but don't get me wrong though, because I finished in the SLAC tour and that sounds equally as impressive.

Hi again,
Why aren't we able to modify our registration anymore? I tried to click the "modify your registration" on the e-receipt, and when it leads me to the websites, the "edit" button for each registrant disappeared! Please help?

Space on the tours is limited, and the registration modification/cancellation date has passed. Unfortunately, one of the original tour locations (NASA-Ames Research Center) had to cancel their tours with very short notice, making space on the remaining tours very tight, so we are not able to accommodate tour changes. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Have a great day!

Is there any kind of strict dress code for the entire event?

Is there any kind of strict dress code for the entire event? Dress code is business casual. No jeans, no t-shirts. Only exception is that Thursday is "SPS Spirit Day," so you can wear an SPS shirt or physics shirt for the tours & Exhibit Hall. We do ask that you change into business casual for Networking Reception at 6pm and the other Thursday evening events
